About Renée
Renée is a licensed mental health counselor who is a Certified Usui Reiki Master/Teacher, a Karuna® Reiki Practitioner, a Certified Zen-Yoga Instructor, and a Certified Hypnotherapist.
Renée completed a certification course in Hypnosis in 2003 while she was enrolled in graduate school. This was her first exposure to alternative and complimentary methods of healing. The relaxation and guided meditation techniques she learned during this experience were swiftly incorporated into her clinical therapeutic work with adults and children.
Since her first Reiki attunement, Renée has incorporated non-traditional healing methods into all areas of her life. Not only does she provide services in Reiki, mindfulness practice, and Zen Yoga at Möbius, but she has also integrates energy healing and the benefits of breath and movement into her clinical work. With her first introduction to Reiki in 2006, Renée recognized the powerful impact of this healing work in her personal life as well as her clinical practice. Searching for more methods of incorporating healing to the body, mind, and spirit, she discovered Zen Yoga, a method combining breath and movement for health and healing.
Renée teaches Reiki at Möbius in addition to providing individual session work. The complementary relationships between Reiki energy work, mindfulness practice, and Zen Yoga offer an opportunity for guests of Möbius to heal in body, mind, and spirit. Renée encourages people to explore and challenge their “self” through the Möbius Method.
Renée is currently enrolled in a doctoral program in Clinical Psychology at Union Institute & University. She has worked in outpatient clinics offering traditional mental health therapy to clients of all ages who struggle with a variety of treatment issues. Additionally, she has worked as a clinician in residential treatment facilities for adolescents with social, emotional, and behavioral challenges. She is a Licensed Mental Health Counselor clinically trained in Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Collaborative Problem Solving (CPS) and Eye Movement Desensitization Reprocessing (EMDR). Renée works with clients privately for mental health counseling in addition to the variety of healing arts practices available at Möbius. She was awarded a Master of Arts in Counseling Psychology in 2005 from Union Institute & University, Vermont College. Her Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology was awarded from Elms College in 2001.

About Amy
Amy is an Usui Reiki Master, a Certified Zen Yoga Instructor, an Animal Guide/Totem Intuitive, and most importantly, the mom of two amazing teenage boys.
Amy was introduced to the world of animal spirit guide connections as a teenager and has spent more than 20 years seeking, sharing, and honoring the gifts and wisdom imparted by animals. She began her “official” career in human services in 1985 though she had been helping people and animals for as long as she can remember. Amy spent the next decade working in residential and emergency facilities for adults with developmental delays and/or mental health concerns. It was during those years that she became a strong advocate for placing the person before the diagnosis. She was involved in many initiatives that aimed to foster independence for those she served. In 1995 Amy was fortunate to have the opportunity to take time off from the world of business and stay home with her children.
As the boys grew, she was able to return to school. In 2003, while in graduate school, Amy developed an Animal Assisted Education Program© (AAEP) designed to include animals in teaching mindfulness, self-control, empathy, respect, and personal responsibility while addressing unique needs of severely traumatized adolescents in residential treatment. In 2004 she was awarded her MA in Human Development with a focus on adolescent development and the influence of a human-animal bond. She also earned the title of “the animal lady”.
Amy has never been “traditional” in her approaches to life so her experiences in the world of non-traditional healing are part of a natural progression. In 2006 reiki was introduced into her life and has since become a defining factor in all that she does. The creation of Möbius has allowed her to continue to explore alternative techniques for healing body, mind, and soul. Her experiences have taught her that there is always more to learn.
Amy continues to live in the realm of human services and animal bonds remain ever-present.
